If a customer has an email address, then one can click it in the left panel to open the email write screen and then sent the email to anyone.
However, if the customer has no email address, then there is no way of opening the email write screen to send an email about the customer to someone else. The exception is that if the patient has a referred vet/practice, one can click on that link to open the email write screen.
If the customer has no email address, then what displays as the email address in a ‘has an email address’ case should display “NO EMAIL” which is a link that if clicked will bring up the email write screen with nothing in the To address field. The fact that the customer has no email address will also be highlighted to Reception staff to act as a prompt to ask the customer if they now have an email address.
